Special Educational Needs (SEN) & Safeguarding
We believe that all children may have, at some point in their school life, special or individual needs. These may be academic difficulties, special aptitudes and abilities or emotional needs as a result of a change in life circumstances such as separation or bereavement. We have a variety of mechanisms to help and support our children and, if needed, their families as well.

SENDIAS Parent Protocol
At Northlands Wood Primary Academy, we take our relationships with our parents of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities very seriously.
One of the agencies we work closely with is SENDIAS (SEND Information, Advice and Support Service) who provide support and practical help to our parents.
More information about SENDIAS can be found via West Sussex Local Offer - https://westsussex.local-offer.org.

Northlands Wood Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff appointed to the school are subject to a successful DBS and qualifications check. The Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher are the school's designated child protection officers.
