The younger children of Northlands Wood Primary Academy treated their parents and staff to a wonderful Harvest Assembly this week with songs about big red combine harvesters and poems on a harvest theme.
This year the harvest gifts given by families are being donated to Family Support Work (FSW) who support local families in crisis. We were joined by Nikki Kerr, Director of Fundraising and Marketing, who said, “We are so grateful to Northlands Wood for their extremely generous Harvest donations. We will be distributing these to the local families we work with over the next few weeks. We support families facing multiple challenges, and often finding enough food to feed their children is only one of their worries. These donations will give 15 local families a month’s worth of food essentials and will make a huge difference to them.”
Mark Sears, Headteacher said, “We are so grateful to our families for their generous gifts which I know will really help support local families in need.”
